  • Isn't that a lot of caffeine?
Each participant will receive a tasting glass and consume a small portion of a drink at each stop. In total, we expect you’ll consume up to ~1.5 lattes worth of caffeine, but you can also opt for smaller portions.
  • How far do we walk?
In total, we cover 1.6 miles with frequent stops. We take a leisurely pace and pause at each coffee shop to taste and talk.
  • How long does the crawl last?
Crawls typically take around 3 hours, depending on the size of the group, our walking speed, and how busy the coffee shops are.
  • Can I join late and/or leave early?
To get the most value out of the crawl, we recommend arriving on time and enjoying the entire experience. Leaving early: We understand, sometimes things come up. In that case, feel free to leave the crawl whenever you need—just make sure to let the crawl leader know so we don't think we lost you! Arriving late: Because the crawl is a dynamic experience that changes each time we go out, it is very difficult to catch up with a crawl that has already left the first stop. We highly recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
  • How much does a crawl cost?
Tickets are $35 each, and include the guided tastings. While you're welcome to purchase food, water, etc. from the coffee, shops, you don't have to spend any more than the ticket price!
  • What should I bring?
Comfortable walking shoes and clothes, sunscreen, water and snacks if you want them, and a curious mindset!
  • Where do we meet?
Tiago Coffee Bar + Kitchen 7080 Hollywood Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90028 Google Maps link to Tiago It’s at the intersection of Hollywood Blvd and La Brea Ave, on the ground floor.
  • Where do we finish?
Groundwork Coffee Co. 1501 N. Cahuenga Blvd Los Angeles, CA 900028 Google Maps link to Groundwork
  • How do I get to the crawl?
Hollywood is—surprisingly to many—easily accessible through public transit. By Train: Take the Metro B (Red) line to Hollywood/Highland station, then walk ~3 blocks west to Tiago at the intersection of Hollywood Blvd and La Brea Ave. By Bus: Take line 212 or 217 to Hollywood Blvd and La Brea Ave. Parking: Street parking rules in LA are notoriously complex, but if you find a space and can decode the barrage of signage, congratulations! There are also multiple paid parking structures and lots nearby, including along N. Sycamore Ave, as well as parking for the Hollywood and Highland Center (entrance on N. Highland Ave north of Hollywood Blvd). Alternatively, you might want to park closer to where we end, at Groundwork on N. Cahuenga Blvd, so your car is waiting for you after the crawl.
  • What if it rains?
It’s rare, but rain does happen in sunny Los Angeles. The coffee crawl goes on, rain or shine, except in rare cases where there is a weather advisory. For normal seasonal rains, bring an umbrella and a raincoat, and we’ll pretend we’re in the rainy Pacific Northwest!
  • What else is in the area?
Hollywood Boulevard is a vibrant area with restaurants, entertainment, shopping, and tourist attractions. We recommend the Visit California site for an updated list of things to do.
  • Why do I have to sign a waiver?
We get it—paperwork is a bummer! We strive to create as safe an environment as possible, but there are risks involved in a walking tour and in consuming caffeine. The waiver ensures that each participant is aware of and accepts those risks. Download a copy of the waiver form below:
